You’re not alone. And you don’t have to explain yourself here.
This is a quiet space for people living with period pain, chronic illness, and invisible struggles to speak freely without judgment, fixing, or exposure.
A real safe space. Truly.
This hotline exists because so many of us have carried pain silently dismissed by doctors, minimized by workplaces, misunderstood by family, or forced to “push through” when our bodies were asking for rest.
Here, your story doesn’t need to be polished.
It doesn’t need to be inspirational.
It doesn’t need a happy ending.
It just needs to be yours.
Your privacy is non-negotiable.
Your real name will never be shared.
Stories are submitted anonymously.
We do not sell, trade, or reuse submissions outside this project.
Some stories may be read aloud or shared publicly without identifying details.
You control what you choose to share.
If something feels too personal leave it out. You are always in control.
Why we’re collecting these stories?
The Un(Official) Period & Chronic Illness Hotline exists to reflect real experiences back to the people who need them most.
Sometimes what helps isn’t advice.
It’s hearing “me too.”
Your story may help someone:
feel less isolated
feel believed for the first time
put words to something they’ve never said out loud
There is no obligation to be helpful, educational, or hopeful. Simply honest.
If you’re ready to share
You can write a few sentences or a few pages.
You can talk about pain, grief, relief, confusion, anger, or resilience.
You can share something you’ve never told anyone.
Or you can simply say, “This is hard.”
All of it belongs here.
